You Decide The Career

Terms.

Who we are

This site is run by You Decide Career, London, United Kingdom. Email [email protected] about anything to do with an order. You can also message @decidethecareer on Instagram, but email is the best way to reach us.

The story

You Decide The Career is a fictional, interactive football story. The clubs, scouts and players are made up. Votes are counted from Instagram comments and the majority choice decides the next part. The site and series aren't run by, or connected to, Instagram or Meta.

Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay, including VAT where it applies.

Your right to cancel

Season Tickets and boosts are digital content and start straight away: your ticket number and Top Fans place are given the moment payment is confirmed. At checkout you ask us to start immediately and confirm you understand that you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once that happens. This doesn't affect your other rights: if something isn't as described, or we don't deliver it, you're entitled to a repair or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If the series stops

If we end Season 1 before your @ has appeared in a part you opted into, we'll refund your Season Ticket in full. Boosts aren't refundable once applied, unless the series stops within 30 days of the boost.

Pitchside Boards

Businesses apply first. We confirm the part and the price by email, and you pay only if both sides agree. Full details are in the Pitchside terms.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe, who email your receipt. We never see or store your card number. If something goes wrong with an order, email [email protected] with your ticket number and we'll put it right. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.

Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Your data

How we use your email, @ and ticket number is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes and the law

We may update these terms. The version you agreed to at checkout applies to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
